Samsung Galaxy Fit vs HTC Wildfire Comparison



Smartphone giants Samsung and HTC once again go head to head again looking to gain the lead on Android Smartphones in India. Samsung extends its Galaxy range with the introduction of yet another Android Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670. HTC on the other hand has had a good run with HTC Wildfire so far. Both these Android mobiles in India are feature packed devices that promises a tough competition for each other and other Android phones around. Here we have compared the important features of both the devices to enable you figure out the differences between the two and select the phone of your choice without much of a trouble.



Design and Looks:
Samsung continues the tradition to pay a special attention to the looks and finish of Smartphone from the Galaxy family. Galaxy Fit is U-shaped with a beautifully finished exterior and 3.3inch TFT capacitive touch screen with 16M color support. The phones weigh only 108g.
HTC is not behind the race when it comes to the design and looks. Wildfire also has luxurious design with shinny and glossy exterior with stylishly curved edges It features a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M color support. It weighs 118g.


Operating System:
Samsung Fit uses the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS but HTC Wildfire has Android 2.1(Éclair) which is upgradeable to Android 2.2, so really nothing much to choose from. Galaxy Fit has a 600MHz Qualcomm Processor and 512MB of RAM and ROM. Processing power of Wildfire is 528MHz with 384Mb RAM and 512MB ROM.


Storage Capacity:
Samsung Galaxy Fit has 160MB of internal memory and that of Wildfire is about 175MB. Memory in both the phones can be extended with SD card, supportive upto32 GB.


Camera:
Both the phones have a 5MP camera with auto focus and exactly the same resolution of
2592 х 1944 pixels. HTC Wildfire once again has a slight advantage with the LED flash which Galaxy Fit doesn’t have. The importance of LED flash can not be denied especially when the phone has a 5MP camera. The video recording capabilities of both the phones is very much average. Galaxy Fit supports QVGA video recording at 15fps, Wildfire records CIF video@15fps. Both the phones do not have a secondary camera and no video calling support.


Connectivity:
The connectivity features of both the phones are very much the same with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, micro USB 2.0, GPS and AGPS and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP.

Conclusion:
Both the phones have features that are more or less the same. HTC Wildfire has been around for quite some time now. Galaxy Fit is fresh and quite new to Indian market. Considering the success of Samsung Galaxy series in India, I will suggest Galaxy Fit.
