Apple iPhone4 is facing very stiff competition these day with the Android based smart phones quickly coming out to meet the market demands. Samsung Galaxy S2 is the newest addition to this category which is becoming increasingly popular among Android lovers. Samsung Galaxy S2 is being called as the most powerful smartphone ever. iPhone 4 has a very tough battle with Optimus 2X, HTC Sensation and now Galaxy S2. We have compared the important features if iPhone4 and Galaxy S2 to see which phone has the potential to be at the top spot.

Desgin:
Both Apple and Samsung are known to produce extremely elegant and glossy designs but Samsung seems to be a little ahead in the race this time. Even though Galaxy S2 is much powerful device it is the slimmest smart phone around with only 8.5mm of thickness compared to 9.3mm of iPhone4. It also weighs much lesser with 116g compared to 137g of iPhone4.

Display:
iPhone4 has the famous LED-backlit IPS TFT, capacitive touchscreen also known as the Retina display. Galaxy S2 features Super AMOLED TFT capacitive touchscreen which is probably as good as the retina if not better but the extra large 4.3 inch screen of Galaxy compared with 3.5 inch of iPhone4 just gives it a slight edge.

OS and Processor:
iPhone 4 features the Apple's very own iOS4 and Sensation has the latest Android 2.3.OS .Galaxy S2 outclasses the opponent when it comes to power, having a Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor fitted with a Mali-400MP GPU and Exynos chipset. iPhone has a single core 1GHz Cortex A8 processor fitted with Power VR GPU and Apple A4 chipset.

Camera:
Sensation is loaded with an 8MP camera which is able to record high quality 1080p videos at 30fps, compared to 8MP camera of Galaxy S2 the 5MP iPhone4 camera looks quiet mediocre, able to record only 720p video at 30fps.Sensations also has a 2MP front facing camera whereas iPhone features a VGA front facing camera. Sensation again manages to turn the tables in its favor.

Storage Capacity:
Like the iPhone 4, Galzxy S2 is also available in 16 and 32 GB versions but unlike iPhone 4 it also has a memory card slot which supports microsd card up to 32GB.Galaxy also has 1GB of RAM which is double the one that iPhone 4 has.

The fight with iPhone is always a tough one for any smart phone but as of now Galaxy S2 has clearly managed to come on top with its open source Android OS. The verdict from all ends is Samsung Galaxy S2.
