Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro is a perfect blend of Android and Sony Ericsson technology. The new smart phone from Sony Ericsson features Google Android 2.3(Gingerbread) with Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor. It weighs 142g but presents quiet a stunning look for a sliding phone. Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro will be coming to India by April 2011 at an estimated price of Rs.25,000
The most impressive features of this new slider from Sony Ericsson that needs some attention is the keyboard. It’s not just a keyboard but a keyboard with some great functions to make life a lot easier. The QWERTY keyboard together with type and send function makes typing and sending text messages faster then ever. You can send email and update your status on social networks without having to open the application. All messages can be sent straight from your home screen. The keyboard buttons are quiet large too which makes you feel at home when typing. In addition to all that when you slide the keyboard out it automatically senses what you want to do. If you are reading an email the reply or forward options automatically opens out. If online the browser address field comes up. The giant 3.7 inch touch screen comes with 16M color and resolution of 854*480 supported by Sony Bravia graphics engine.
Xperia Pro comes with an 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash. It features the Sony's Exmor R™ CMOS sensor to enable you capture high quality and sharp images even in low light conditions. It supports HD video recording with 720p@30fps. There is 2MP front camera as well to support video calling. Other camera features includes geo-tagging, smile and face detection and touch focus. There’s a HDMI port to enhance your video and photo viewing experience by connecting the phone to your TV and operating it with the help of TV remote control
The phone has an internal memory of 1GB with 320MB available for the user and 520 MB RAM. Storage can be extended with the micro SD card supportive up to 32GB. As far as connectivity is concerned it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0, 3G and EDGE support.
Xperia pro comes in black, silver and red colors and impressive battery with stand by time up to 400hrs, talk time up to 7hrs and music play up to 31hrs. The phone is expected to hit the market in the second quarter of the year.
