Nokia Mobiles have unveiled its new range of symbian smartphones; Nokia 600, 700 and 701. The new Nokia phones are taking on the new naming strategy and we are back to the old just numbers based names instead of more complex numbers and alphabets. The new Symbian smart phones are powered by the Symbian Belle OS, the best OS from Nokia so far. Here we take a look at the “all in one media phone” Nokia 600.
Nokia 600 is a 1Ghz Smartphone with latest Symbian Belle Operating system. Its major features includes 3.2" nHD Capacitive touchscreen, NFC technology, 3G, Wi-Fi, 5 MP Camera with 720p HD recording. Nokia 600 will be available in India by October 2011 at an estimated price of Rs.11,000
Design and Size:
The all in one media phone has the simplest of design with nothing fancy about the built and material used. The big toucscreen dominates the front view of the phones with the call receive and reject buttons. The curve edges seem to be extending right along the phone from one end to the other. It is not the thinnest of smart phones having a thickness of 13mm. It is 53mm wide and 111mm long and weighs 100g.
Display:
It features a TFT capacitive touch screen with 16M color support. The screen size is 3.2 inches with resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and pixel density of 229ppi. It supports multi touch input, has proximity sensor for auto turnoff and accelerometer for auto rotate.
Processor and OS:
It comes with 1 GHz processor to run the Symbian Belle OS. The New OS from Nokia is the most improved and modernized having new widgets, deep customization options; the no of display screens now increases from 3 to 6 allowing for more easy operation. It also has deeper NFC integration.
Storage Capacity:
The internal storage capacity of the phone is 2GB and it supports the memory extension up to 32GB via SD memory card.
Camera:
It comes with a 5MP fixed focus camera with LED flash having a maximum image resolution of 2592*1944. It supports the geo tagging feature. The video recording capability is HD 720p video at 30fps.
Connectivity:
Apart from the 3G support, Nokia 600 features Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi and micro USB 2.0.
