Smartphones in India is the flavor currently for all mobile users in India. This is the era of featured packed powerful smartphones. The smartphone giants are trying their very best to gain the top spot in the race. LG and HTC introduced their power packed Smartphones recently. LG Optimus 2X and HTC Incredible S goes head to head in this battle of giants and let’s us see who comes on top.
Display:
For many display is the most important feature when they are looking to buy a phone. The importance is even more when it’s the smartphone that you are looking to buy. There haven’t been many smartphones with 4.0 inch display in the market but it seems that LG and HTC has laid the foundation of this new trend. Both Optimus2X and Incredible S have 4 inch capacitive touch screens with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 16M color support. The display is gorilla glass with touch sensitive controls in both the smart phones, so nothing much to choose from as far as the display is concerned.
Design:
Both the smart phones have same block form with Optimus 2X having a rather serious look compared to Incredible S which is more on the stylish side. Body is black; Incredible S is also available in red. There’s a slight difference in weight with Optimus 2x weighing 139g compared to 135.5 of Incredible S.
Processor And OS:
The power of the smart phone is determined by its processor and Optimus 2x is a clear winner in this regard with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Dual Core processor. When Optimus 2x was released it was the first time that that a smart phone featured a dual core processor. Incredible S has 1 GHz Scorpion processor, simply not enough to match Optimus 2X even with 768MB of RAM compared to 512MB. Both smart phones have Android 2.2 Froyo which is upgradeable to later versions.
Camera:
Both the smart phones have 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus camera with LED flash. Optimus 2x is again in front with ability to record HD video at 1080p compared to 720p of Incredible S. Both smart phones also have a 1.3MP front camera.
Connectivity:
Incredible S offers 40% faster data transfer speed over all network with HSPDA 14.4Mbps compared to 10.2Mbps of Optimus 2X. There is Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WIFI hotspot and micro USB2.0 support in both the phones.

The battle is very much evenly matched on most fronts but LG Optimus 2x clearly out powers the Incredible S when it comes to the Processing power. So the ultimate choice would be LG Optimus 2X if you are looking to get your hands on a powerful smart phone.
