In this post I am going to talk about best smartphones in India in the range of Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000. Well this is a very common budget of urban India. We have the Android Era going on in India, every top smartphone is an Android smartphone (Sorry Nokia). In this post I have listed my favorite 4 smartphones in India in the range of Rs.20,000. 1. LG Optimus Black:
LG Optimus Black is the first phone to befeaturing the NOVA display technology, the display is surely one of thebrightest around if not the brightest. The focus of LG Optimus Black isprimarily on all round experiences rather than on raw processing power. It still features a 1GHz processor and 512MBof RAM which will be more than enough to run any Android app.
KeyFeatures:
The key features of the phone includes a giant4 inch screen with NOVA display and 700 nits of brightness, the capacitive IPSLCD unit is supported by 16M color. A 9mm touch screen bar. Dual brand 3Gsupport. Google Android Froyo which is upgradable to Gingerbread, with GestureUI 2.0 and LG Home launcher 2.0. It Features a 5MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. Face and smile detection and geo-tagging included andHD720p video recording capability at 30fps. There is also a 2MP secondary camerafor video calls. On the connectivity front we have Wi-Fi b/g/n; Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA, Bluetoothv2.1 and USB 2.0. Support for GPS and A-GPS. External memory is expandable upto 32GB. It also supports DIVX/XVID video, Adobe Flash 10.1 and features FMradio with RDS.
Disadvantages:
There are a fewdisadvantages associated with the phone too, the HD video clips plays withdistorted aspect ratio, there is also no dedicated key for camera and the audioquality is also not quiet up to the mark.

2. Samsung Galaxy SL i9003
Samsung Galaxy SL is the successor to the popularGalaxy S. There is no difference in the design of the phones but we do have anew screen, a different battery and a new CPU here. Many other internals havealso been replaced but there is not a lot of difference in the user experience.

Disadvantages:
A few disadvantages associated with the phone includelack of flash and dedicated camera key with the 5MP camera, all plasticbody. The GPU is less capable to theoriginal Galaxy S. The loudspeaker is feeble and the size and weight of the phoneis also increased.

3. MotorolaXT 800
We have heard a lot about a smart phone withdual SIM capabilities, have we? Motorola XT 800 is one phone of this kind. Itdoesn’t only support two SIM at a time but also features the GoogleAndroidv2.1. The phone promises to provide high end entertainment on the move.

Disadvantages:
The phone lacks an upgrading of the OS, andnot really suited for enterprise usage but still has a very attractive pricefor the features it has.

4. NokiaE6
Nokia E6 is a business smart phone from Nokiathat also has the privilege to be their first phone running the new AnnaOS. E6 has a full QWERTY keyboard and atouch screen to go with it. The display is quiet sharp; the pixel density ofthe phone is even higher than that of iPhone’s Retina Eye display. The featuresthat previous E-series models had were becoming a little too conventional butE6 has got a lot new it, a much needed change.

It features a 1.26inch VGA TFT LCD capacitivetouchscreen with 16M color support having a pixel density of 325ppi. Itsupports the 3G network with HSDPA 10.2Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps. It features an ARM 1176 680 MHz processor powered byBroadcom BCM2727 GPU.But it may still be enough for the Nokia AnnaOS and even with 256MB of RAM it may still be able to run most of theapps. On the camera front E6 beats mostof the business phones around with its 8MP camera with dual LED-flash. Itrecords HD 720p video at 25fps. The internal storage capacity of the phone isimpressive 8GB plus the support for microSD card up to 32GB. On theconnectivity front it has Wi-Fi,Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0 with USB on-the-go feature, GPS receiverwith A-GPS, HDMI port and 3.5mm audio jack.
Disadvantages:
The processing power of the phone is very muchon the lower end compared to the other high end smart phones having at least 1 GHzprocessor while many have got the dual core. The screen size is quiet small andthere is no HDMI port.
